Digital Asset Tracker is offered by Fidelity Labs, LLC. Use it to aggregate and track your digital asset portfolio on your iphone. Digital Asset Tracker is flexible, allowing you to view crypto currencies stored on several major exchanges using your Bitcoin and Ethereum public addresses, or by manually entering the assets you hold. All holdings data is stored on your iphone.

What is Digital Asset Tracker (DAT)?
Digital Asset Tracker (the “App”) is a free application that allows you to aggregate and track holdings information from the Binance, Bittrex, Gemini, Kucoin, and Coinbase exchanges, along with any other holdings information that you manually enter in the App, on your mobile device.

Where does Digital Asset Tracker get its pricing data?
Digital Asset Tracker gets its pricing data from a third-party company called CoinMarketCap.com (https://coinmarketcap.com). CoinMarketCap.com is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of this data. Please note that holdings prices may vary from your statement and your account.

What mobile devices does Digital Asset Tracker support?
Currently, Digital Asset Tracker is only compatible with iPhone.

What are the system requirements for Digital Asset Tracker?
For optimal performance we suggest that iPhone users upgrade to iOS 10 or later. However, the App works with iPhone 5s or above, and requires that you have at least iOS 7 installed.

What coins does Digital Asset Tracker support?
We support all coins that appear on CoinMarketCap, a market data source that Digital Asset Tracker uses for holdings valuation.

How do I get started?
If this is your first time using the Digital Asset Tracker app, please install the App and begin by adding assets. There are three ways you can add assets:

  • Link a cryptocurrency exchange
  • Add a public key
  • Add assets manually

Link a cryptocurrency exchange
If your assets are held in a cryptocurrency exchange, you’ll need to generate a new “read-only” API Key. Please note, API Keys allow outside apps to safely access your cryptocurrency accounts. Transactions and holdings data will be read from your exchange accounts using the API Key. Whenever possible, we suggest that you provide only “View” permissions to these API Keys.

Setting Up the API Key
To set up a new API Key, go to the website of your cryptocurrency exchange (Binance, Bittrex, Gemini, Kucoin, or Coinbase) and follow the directions to add a new API Key. A new API Key allows for the integration of holdings and transactions with the Digital Asset Tracker App. Be sure to select a “Read Only” API Key, which means that your data cannot be modified or deleted.

Add A Wallet
If you hold your assets somewhere other than a cryptocurrency exchange, you will need a public key or address to link your wallet. A public key or address represents the public pointer to your cryptocurrency and allows for the integration of holdings data and transactions with the Digital Asset Tracker App. We support integration with Bitcoin (single signature and multisignature) and Ethereum wallets.

To add your holdings data, simply select Bitcoin or Ethereum and enter your public key, extended public key or public address.

PLEASE NOTE: If your cryptocurrency is held on a cryptocurrency exchange, like Coinbase, please refer to the directions for linking to a cryptocurrency exchange. Do not use your public key or address to add holdings data from a cryptocurrency exchange.

Add Assets manually
If you choose to enter your cryptocurrency holdings manually, simply enter the name of the coins and the associated quantities of each.

Does Digital Asset Tracker report on transactions in real time?
Each time you use the Digital Asset Tracker App, it pulls new transaction and price information. In other words, data is refreshed only when the app is turned on or when new pages are loaded.

Where is data associated with Digital Asset Tracker stored?
All your data associated with Digital Asset Tracker is stored locally on your mobile device, including your API Keys and public keys. The App retrieves holdings information from the exchanges via the API Keys and/or directly from a blockchain through a blockchain explorer using public keys. All data retrieved or manually entered is stored on your mobile device.

What happens if I delete the App & reinstall it later?
If you delete or reinstall the Digital Asset Tracker App, then you will have to add all your accounts to the App again.

What happens if I lose my phone or get a new phone?
If you lose your mobile device or purchase a new one, all historical data will be lost, as it is stored locally on your device. You can restore the App’s data from a backup, such as iCloud. If you do not have a backup, then you will have to add all your accounts to the App again.

Should I set up a backup to my mobile device?
If you lose a mobile device or get a new mobile device, having the device backed up in iCloud will allow you to restore your accounts and historical data. However, the decision to back up your device is solely in your discretion and is not related to the functioning of the App.

Tips to help you protect your mobile access.
Activate a PIN or lock function for your mobile device. Using a PIN is the simplest and most important thing you can do to ensure security on your mobile device, especially if it's lost or stolen. You should also set the device to auto-lock and enable whatever biometric authentication features are available on your device (such as Touch ID, Face ID, etc).

Automate software updates. Turn on automatic updates on your mobile device if the option is available. Many software programs will automatically update to defend against known risks.

Be cautious when downloading other applications. Unknown or repackaged applications can contain malware designed to compromise your device. Always purchase or download applications only from reputable app stores. When installing new applications, review permissions and be sure it's safe before granting access to app requests.

Enable "find my device." If your phone or carrier supports a "find my device" feature, it's a good idea to activate it. This can help you find your device if it’s lost or stolen.
