Crypto and Privacy � Understanding the Future

With a panel of over 32 experts, FCAT hosted the Crypto Privacy Conference with an aim to educate and inspire an audience on various advancements in the field of privacy and the importance of privacy. The two-day conference covered topics ranging from bitcoin privacy, cryptography, financial privacy, identity, and privacy-focused businesses.

With an extraordinary range of experts participating over the two days, we received insights from many perspectives. The Honorable Brian D. Quintenz gave us a peek into how regulatory bodies envision privacy developments in cryptocurrency. One of our keynote speakers, Jameson Lopp, showcased the possibility of maintaining an off-the-grid approach to life while still maintaining an active interaction with the real world.

An integral topic from the discussion revolved around the important role academia plays in creating and developing a secure ecosystem using cryptography. There was consensus on why it�s imperative that schools and universities take an active role in introducing and teaching students about privacy techniques to build better systems.

Another notable takeaway emerged from various prominent VC firms like Boost VC, Castle Island, and Slow Ventures who expressed the sentiment of investors and their focus on privacy-centric solutions and their market availability.

The FCAT Crypto Privacy Conference created a forum to engage both technical and non-technical speakers that highlighted some of the most important issues, advancements, and ideas in the industry.
